Hello,

 

in the attached sheet, please scroll down to the red arrow. When i used the Find function, i can find the root, but when i try to do it with the "root" function i get an error. if i change the guess value to .0001, i will get an answer. But this answer is incorrect because the correct answer is what you get with the Find function which is .0021273.  The reason why i am using the root function so i can assign the answer to a variable. I tried to assign the Find function value  to a variable, it  does not let me unless i dont know how to do it. Is there a better and accurate way  to do this w/o worrying about convergence? Thanks!

Hello,

 

Is it possible to link two mathcad sheets where one will be opened and the other is closed. The opened one will be set to a certain variable ( allowable stress design), and the closed one is set to a different variable( Strength Design).  i need to import certain values from one sheet to another. the reason why i dont want to have one open becuase each sheet is about 25MB and if i have both opened along with other softwares, mathcad 15 will become extremly  slow?

I have MathCAD 15 (M030 [MC15_M030_20131216]) running on a 64 bit Windows 7 laptop with 8gb of RAM and an Intel Core i3 processor. When I run programs that reach a certain length, the whole block turns into a blue mesh. It still works, and the subsequent calculations are good, but I am unable to edit the block. It was discovered earlier today that I could get rid of it by pressing pg up or pg dn (not by scrolling), but it returns again. I've been able to perfectly run the code on every other computer I've tried it on. I've included a screen shot of how it looks and have attached the worksheet. Thanks in advance for any help.

I am running a Latin Hyprecube Sampling routine for statistical reliability analysis. I randomdly sample from 9 probability distributions of parameters that from inputs to a crack growth integral equation. When I take a larger  number of samples you get unlucky and at least one of combinations of parameter inputs to the integral results in the integral failing to converge for that combination and this results in an error. Is there a way of including a diagnostic line in the program loop that will flag that a combination does not converge (eg like a "time-out" in convergence iterations) but then record this combination as not converging and then continue on with the loop?

The attached sheet usually works for several hundred samples but when say n > 300 it often  flags an error (sometimes you may need a large number of samples before you get unlucky eg. n = 10,000) which I have been able to isolate through trial and error to prove there is a  particular combination that does not converge.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi, Fourier transformation is usually based on exp(jwt).

 

How Can I address Mathcad to do Fourier transformation based on exp(2jwt)

Please scroll down in my sheet until you see the red arrow where i have my question. i am trying to maxamize the value for (Lpm_v) so that the ratio at the bottom does not exceed a certain value which i listed inside my sheet. Thanks!

Hello All,

My program returns calculated parameters in a table like the attached picture. How can I address Mathcad to 3D-plot the the first column vs the other columns. How can I recall the data from the dolumns to use them for the next programing stage?

Hello,

 

please scroll down to the red arrow in the attached sheet.  i have been able to solve for Pu, using solve. but the issue is i have no control over the number of decimal places, the unit, and be able to use the result for Pu in subsequent calculations. Are there other ways to be able to do this? Thanks!

in the attached sheet, please scroll down the the blue arrow. when i key in the values insdie the matrix, it draws the sketch and does the calculation. Howerver when i have some of these values inside matrix calculated  to save myself from inputing them, i get an error message. Not sure why. Thanks!

Hi all

 

I'm trying to make a small computation program that would split a thicker layers

into thinner ones and would put the split layers into one column.

 

In the attached computation sheet I have demonstrated what I would like to find first for a one layer system, then for a 2 layer system, but

the problem is that I haven't been able to make it work for n -layered system.

Hello,

 

when i print a sheet that has list combo boxes, some times the items in the box show up when i print the sheet, and some times they dont as shown in the attached sheet. How can i make it to always show the items in the list combo box when i print the sheet? Thanks!

Hello,

 

I'm wondering if C# will be implemented so that any custom functions we write in C#, we would be able to implement into the MathCad Worksheet.  Is this a possibility for the future, or will C++ and C be the primary custom coding language functions?

 

I realize that C# and C++ are quite close in nature, but there are some differences.

Is there a good way to debug a program I wrote in MathCAD prime 3.0?  Because it appears to be working but I want to go through my program step by step to make sure everything is working properly.
